TV scripts based on literal ads

Reflection

This exercise made me apply the idea of a TV script or story that starts with an exposition, leads to a fulcrum and has a resolution in the end. I improved my initial drafts by applying the format of a TV script that has a column for visual and a column for audio. I also tried to follow the basic structure of a beat, starting the script with an action that is happening , followed by an arising conflict or in my case a build up of an action that leads to a fulcrum and ends in a resolution. CREATIVE WRITING – Clichés

 Reflection

This exercise requires a lot of thought. The first part which is asking for original ideas regarding old, clichéd expressions is much more challenging than the second exercise which does simply ask for a physical example of an abstract concept. I have never come across any of these clichés before, apart from the second one. Once I know their meaning it is very doable. To get the most perfect original description takes a lot of patience and time I guess. I liked this exercise because it showed me that even the most stupid thought can work and make sense when applied in the right context and shape.
